I²FA INTERNATIONAL MASTER'S PROGRAM

ESA offers a company-sponsored Master's degree program for students who aspire to build a career in the food industry.

In partnership with leading French companies, the program is designed for candidates with a background in Food Science and Technology, Agronomy, Food Production, Animal Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biology, Engineering, or related fields.

Over two academic years, participants will earn a Master of Science in Agricultural Engineering from École Supérieure d'Agricultures (ESA) in Angers, France. The program combines academic learning and professional experience, with participants spending approximately half of their time at ESA and half within a Lactalis production site, supported by dedicated academic and professional mentors.
This unique opportunity enables participants to develop both technical and managerial competencies through hands-on experience in an international environment. By combining higher education at a leading institution in life sciences with practical training in a global food company, the program provides a strong foundation for long-term career growth.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will have the opportunity to continue their professional journey within Lactalis Italy, leveraging the skills, knowledge, and international experience gained throughout the two-year program.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Agronomy, Food Production, Animal Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biology, Engineering, or related fields;
Have an English proficiency level of at least B2 (the level will be assessed during the interview process);
Be highly motivated to discover new cultures and learn a new language;
Show the ability to embrace challenges and develop new skills and competencies;
Previous international experience is considered an advantage;
No prior knowledge of French is required. An intensive French language course is provided in France from March to August 2027, prior to the start of the Master's program in September 2027.

Candidates who successfully complete the selection process and receive final approval from both ESA and Lactalis will be required to submit:

Their highest academic diploma;
Their most recent academic transcripts.

Both documents must be translated into French by a certified sworn translator and submitted to ESA.
